Problems with law

The next album release was in 1999, when Jay-Z created one more commercially successful "Vol.3 Life and Times of S Carter". The success of it was accompanies by big scandal and serious problems of Jay-Z as he was blamed for stabbing producer. The crime took place in the Kit Kat Club located on Times Square in New York. He was expected to be sentenced for that but Jay-Z asserted his innocence and denied his involvement. He came to the police for questioning himself and his fault was not proved in the court. But all the same he could not avoid the 3-year probation though on a bit different accuse - for misdemeanor and guns possession.

Jay-Z's album The Blueprint was at that time on the forth position in Billboard 200.
